Proverbs 22:1-2

1A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. 2The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all. (KJV)

Proverbs 22:8-9

8He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail. 9He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor. (KJV)

Proverbs 22:22-23

22Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate: 23For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them. (KJV)

James 2:14-17

14What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. (KJV)
